#Noontec media player firmware update software#
I have been trying to get in contact with the manufactures to see if they have updated software to get over the AC3 audio problem without success. This dongle does not work on a PC, does not load the required software.

The wireless network at 803.11g standard works well but jitters too much with 1040i/p and sometimes jitters at 720 i/p (depends on signal conditions, etc) This is a NW330 wireless USB adaptor that uses a Realtek RTL8187B chip. The one that worked was the one that I bought for my Noontec GV-3731. I noted that the WiFi input is a USB socket so I made up a USB cable with a plug and a socket and tried several of my USB wireless dongles to see what would happen.

The standard digital TV is OK as is the soon to be phased out analogue TV. One currently broadcasts a different program to its standard definition channels wihile the other 3 current transmit a duplicate. The worse thing about it is 4 of the 5 high definition digital TV channels in my area broadcast audio in the AC3 format. This prevents me for playing some videos from my collection. The biggest disappointment is that it does not play AC3 audio. The bad news is that the transcode server does not decode H.264 formats. I got around this by using the Realtec Transcoder software that I received with my Noontec GV-3731 network media player. The other major problem is that it does not play certain video formats such as MKV and H.264. I have to use the big red button on the back to turn off the power and turn it on again before it will receive TV. I have a few problems, one being that If I turn the unit off from the remote and turn it back on using the remote, the TV does not start up.
